Paul Bell - Owner & Founder
Paul is responsible for ibs’ strategic growth, and oversees a management team responsible for day to day operations. Having built the company from the ground up over the last 30 years, Paul understands millwork inside and out. Paul is committed to ibs offering clients cutting-edge quality, progressive agility, and seamless service. In order to be the top millwork company in the Washington market, Paul
- led ibs through the construction of a purpose-built facility (the largest of its kind in the area),
- ensures that his employees are trained in the latest techniques and use of materials,
- guides the ongoing improvements to the agile manufacturing project process
- continually develops a strong leadership team
Christian Voegtlin - Vice President of Operations
Christian started his career in the woodworking industry in 1975 and has worked in a variety of executive and management positions in both Europe and North America. He holds a Swiss Master's Degree certification in Cabinetry/Architectural Woodwork and has worked for national and international companies serving in various roles including operational management, project management, fabrication, installation and process planning. Joining the Company in 2018, Christian promotes the long standing values that he shares along with the ibs team - Craftsmanship/Agility/Diligence.
Mike Chambers - Vice President of Estimating & Sales
Mike is a 4th generation woodworker and is a graduate of the University of North Georgia with a degree in Accounting and Management. Mr. Chambers owned his own business for 20 years before moving to the DC area to join ibs Millwork. Over his 35 year career, Mike has performed all operations including bench mechanic, shop drawing preparation, estimating and project management. His diverse background has provided him the foundation to understand what it takes to meet the needs of each and every customer.
Kenneth Allan - Vice President of Engineering
Ken's career in woodworking goes back to 1976 in Beaumont, TX where he worked in his uncle's residential cabinet shop, where he was shop foreman. Upon moving to Virginia in 1986 he worked for a few companies that focused on commercial millwork. Ken came to ibs Millwork in 2013 as a shop foreman, served as VP of Operations and recently became Vice President of Engineering where he is tasked with keeping engineering timelines, upholding the utmost quality control and making sure everything is engineered and produced on time.
Patricia Ann Brinkley - Receiving Manager
Ms. Brinkley started her career in business and accounting at the young age of 16 working for a family owned automotive business in Maryland. She moved to Virginia in 1985 and worked as Office Manager/Bookkeeper for a large, national insulation company. Patricia has been with ibs Millwork since 1992 and has assisted in many various facets of the Company. She ensures product is received and accounted for properly in her current role as Receiving Manager.
Sarah Berg - Director of Field Operations
Sarah started her career in construction working as a laborer for a drywall company after completing 2 years of College in North Carolina. Shortly after, she began working for her uncle in Rockville, Maryland fabricating laminate counter tops and installing custom cabinets residentially. She pursued her interest in carpentry and decided to join the United Carpenters and Joiners of America as an apprentice. She graduated to a journeyman status upon completing the four-year program in 2007. She moved through the ranks quickly and became a foreman three years later. In 2013 she became the Installation Manager for ibs Millwork and was promoted to Director of Field Operations in 2016. Sarah’s project experience, knowledge and leadership have been a valued asset to the ibs Millwork team.
Chuck Neal - Finishing Manager
With almost 40 years of experience in the industry, Chuck Neal heads up the ibs Millwork finishing department. Chuck started his career at the age of 16 working in body shops and painting planes for the US Military. Growing up in Oklahoma, Chuck learned traditional building methods and grew to appreciate a high level of craftsmanship. Chuck has managed the IBS Millwork Finishing Department for a combined total of 5 years. At ibs Millwork, Chuck takes a lot of pride in completing a project and making sure it’s done to the highest quality standards possible. Paul Bell, CEO & Founder of IBS Millwork, has empowered Chuck to do the job right every time. Chuck has found fulfilment in his role because IBS Millwork is the top of the food chain with the highest level of millwork and the most talented finishing department in the area.
Shane Chandler - Project Manager
A 37 year veteran of the millwork industry, Shane has worked in many different positions throughout his career. Being exposed to the fine art of high-end architectural millwork at an early age, he knew this would be his path and he developed a true passion for the business. A previous business owner for 21 years, he understands the needs of the customer and schedules the work to ensure a seamless flow from award of the project to the final installation. With a “do what it takes to make it happen” attitude and a sharp eye for detail, he takes great pride in completing projects on time and within budget, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
Luciano Pusterla - Project Manager
Luciano has been working in the woodworking industry for 30 years since coming to America from Italy in 1985. He has been involved in fabrication, installation and project management and takes pride in making sure every project is done well and on time. Luciano wanted to join ibs because of the company's great reputation and wanted to become an asset to the ibs team.
Jon Barrett - Shop Foreman
Jon started his career as an apprentice making Shaker furniture when he was 13 years old. At age 22, Jon received his degree in Wood Technology from West Virginia University and began working in the architectural millwork industry shortly afterwards. Jon has been involved in all phases of millwork production, with the last 24 years in production management.
Andrew Winterstine - Assistant Project Manager
Andrew approaches every ibs project with a sense of urgency. His years of experience as shipping manager involved successful packaging, loading and delivering high cost millwork freight and has served him well in his new role as assistant project manager. The architectural millwork industry moves at a fast rate and demands precision in all aspects. By effectively managing projects in their initial stages and throughout the process to closing out, Andrew makes sure the ibs team is setup for success. Andrew was recently promoted to Assistant Project Manager position and hopes to further his career as a project manager in the upcoming year.
